Amary Lehto (She/Her)

Director of Education

Amary Lehto is an educator, artist, self care advocate and a southeast Michigan native. Amary has worked in early childhood education, special education, and elementary education since 2014. She began her career in Washington D.C. and quickly fell in love with supporting the development of our youth after serving with the Metro DC Reading Corps.

Amary graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology and later earned a Masters of Education (M.Ed) in Teaching and Learning with a Special Education focus. She is trained in trauma-informed practices, anti-bias education, and believes that one size does not fit all students.

Amary is committed to educational equity and inclusion through her work as an educator. Outside of work, Amary can be found making ceramics (mostly funky garden gnomes), enjoying an iced coffee, or doing yoga.

A: The first pottery class I took, I felt like a kid getting messy and making things with my hands again!
