PAST EVENTS

Every year we host our largest event of the season our annual Dance Showcase! This show is comprised of all of our dance classes from Ballet, Detroit Jit, to even Latin Fusion. This is also where our graduating senior get their spotlight and showcase their individual solos.

SHOWCASE

Our Youth Dance Ensemble has their own annual dance concert that highlights their specific skillset. Unlike their performances at our annual showcase this dance concert is filled with even more breath taking pieces unique to this show.

YOUTH DANCE ENSEMBLE CONCERT

Our annual Arts & Media Exhibition started back in spring of 2023. This exhibit showcases all of our visual arts student’s work. From painting to animation and even music production, this showcase exhibits our talented students and the wide array of visual arts programming we offer here!

ARTS & MEDIA EXHIBITION

From August to October of 2023 we had four outdoor concerts filled with free workshops, free music & dance, and free food.

Varying from Detroit-style Dunham Dancing, Hispanic Heritage music and dance, Contemporary Classical music, and even Dive Bar Soul Music.

With guest appearances from our own Living Arts students to guests traveling far and wide like Phillip Michael Scales.

The community had a blast and each event was truly a night to remember!

THE EVENT

In April of 2023, The Event was a gala-like event put on in honor of Living Arts’ partnership with Mike Manson’s show Rhythm of the Feet.

This night was filled with amazing food, catered by local restaurants, and filled with music and art all from Detroit local artists.

With everything from silent auctions, dancing, live performances, and more The Event was a night no one would forget.

SOFRITO OF CULTURES
