Ms. Clayton-Reid is a professional dance performer, educator and Company director of MoreDances Contemporary Dance Company. She has performed professionally for 43 years in companies, review shows and musicals in the U.S., Italy, Japan, and on board the Norwegian Cruise Lines. She was a scholarship student at the Gus Giordano Dance Center in her early career. Janet has been a guest instructor at studios, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, the American College Dance Festival and for the Cecchetti Council of America. She presently teaches for studios, community centers and non-profits. She is also former private studio owner. Ms. Clayton-Reid has completed teacher training in the Vagonava Method of Ballet.

Q: What is the strangest job you’ve had?

A: Department of natural resources.

Q: What is the funniest thing you’ve heard a young person say?

A: Things you know the parents wouldn't want them saying to you. 

Q: If you could be BFF’s with any fictional character, who would it be?

A: Cinderella! A life of glamour!

Q: What is the most memorable or impactful art experience you’ve had as an adult?

A: Working in Italy and Japan.
