Robert Nearon (He/Him)

Karate Teaching Artists

Robert Nearon was born in San Diego, California, and raised in his mother’s homeland: the Republic of Panam in Central America. He along with his four siblings were first introduced to martial arts by their father. Eventually, the rest of the siblings would drop out and move on to other interests, but Sensei Nearon was a karateka at heart. He studied under the mastery of Sensei Artuto Worrell in Chitre, Panama, and reached the level of a brown belt. Robert Nearon has studied under many karateka greats, such as Sensei Steve Ubl, Sensei Masao Kagawa, Sensei Scott Langley, Sensei Yamagushi, Sensei Kitagawa, Sensei Koike, and many others.

In 2010, he ranked 3rd at the then JKS Pan American Karate Tournament. In 2011, he participated in the JKS World Karate Tournament in Scotland representing the USA.

Sensei Nearon has taken many students to local and out-of-state competitions where several of his students have placed in first, second, and third places, winning multiple medals and plaques. “They are winners just by walking in the door!” Sensei Nearon.
